Refund & Dispute Policy
Ryan’s Websites provides custom website design and development services. Because every project is bespoke work produced specifically for you, refunds work as follows:
- Deposits. Projects begin with a deposit (typically 50% of the quoted price). The deposit reserves your place in the schedule and covers early-stage work. It is refundable in full if I have not yet started work on your project, and refundable on a pro-rata basis (less the value of work already completed) once work has begun.
- If you’re not satisfied. Tell me — directly and early. Every package includes revision rounds, and my first response to any concern is to fix it. If we reach the end of the included revisions and the delivered work does not match the written scope we agreed, I will correct it at no charge.
- Refunds after delivery. Once a site has been delivered, approved by you, and launched, fees for completed work are non-refundable. Where something delivered is genuinely defective and I cannot fix it within a reasonable time, I will refund the portion of fees attributable to the defective work.
- Disputes. If you believe you’ve been charged incorrectly, email ryannaglestadwork@gmail.com with your invoice number. I respond to all billing questions within 2 business days and aim to resolve any dispute within 14 days. Approved refunds are returned to your original payment method within 10 business days.
Cancellation Policy
- How to cancel. You may cancel a project at any time by emailing ryannaglestadwork@gmail.com. Cancellation is effective on the day I receive your written notice.
- What you pay. You are billed only for work completed up to the effective cancellation date, calculated against the project milestones in your quote. If your deposit exceeds the value of completed work, the difference is refunded; if completed work exceeds the deposit, a final invoice is issued for the balance.
- What you receive. On payment of any outstanding balance, you receive all completed work files as-is.
- Pausing instead. Projects can be paused for up to 60 days at no charge — often a better option than cancelling if timing is the issue.
- Ongoing services. Any ongoing service (such as monthly site maintenance) can be cancelled with 14 days’ written notice, effective at the end of the current billing period. No further charges are made after cancellation takes effect.
Terms of Service
- Scope. Every project is defined by a written quote or proposal listing the pages, features, and deliverables included. Work outside that scope is quoted separately before it is done — you will never receive a surprise bill.
- Revisions. Each package includes two structured revision rounds. Additional revision rounds or significant changes of direction after approval are quoted as extra work.
- Your responsibilities. You agree to supply the content required for the project (such as text, images, logos, and account access) within a reasonable time, and you confirm you have the rights to any material you provide. Project timelines depend on receiving content and feedback promptly.
- Ownership. On receipt of final payment, full ownership of the delivered website — its design, code, and content — transfers to you. Until final payment, all work remains the property of Ryan’s Websites. I may display completed work in my portfolio unless you ask otherwise in writing.
- Third-party costs. Domain registration, hosting, and any paid third-party services are billed at cost, in your name, and are governed by those providers’ own terms.
- Promotions. Any promotional discount I offer applies only at the time of purchase, cannot be applied retroactively or combined with other offers, and is subject to the specific conditions stated when the promotion is made (such as an expiry date or eligible packages).
- Liability. Services are provided with reasonable skill and care. To the extent permitted by law, my total liability for any claim is limited to the fees you paid for the project concerned.
- Contact. Questions about these terms: ryannaglestadwork@gmail.com.
